About Built On Side

I'm Mikko. I run LevelSafety Oy (also registered as LevelSafety Ltd) out of northern Finland, and Built On Side is where I write about side hustles, faceless online business, and small business basics, based on what I've actually tried, not just what I've heard works.

Most of what's out there in this space is written by someone trying to sell you something, dressed up as advice. I won't pretend I'm different on that front. Some of what I write here links to things I earn a commission from (see the Affiliate Disclosure page for the specifics), but I'm not writing about anything I haven't used myself or watched closely enough to actually vouch for.

My day job is software and DevOps work. On the side, I run an AI-generated avatar account that posts daily, and I've spent enough Sunday afternoons fixing things the AI got wrong to know the real difference between what these systems can do and what the sales pages claim they do.

That's the whole angle here. Less hype, more "here's what actually happened when I tried it."
